GAWP Word Walk

My part in it : Map illustration, project coordination, marketing and artist liaison.

These maps, printed lithographically at Wheatley Printers in Stroud, show the trail of the GAWP Word Walk. It's a trail that connects place and history to tell the stories of local people, past and present, launched at Gloucestershire Heritage Hub in March 2024.
The ten artworks have been inspired by conversations and workshops with local people, as well as archive research about the locations.

GAWP Art Weekender : September 2023

My part in it : Drafted in for admin support, get artists registered to take part and to get the word out.

The GAWP Art Weekender is a big celebration of creative talent in Gloucester, involving as many young people, artists, creatives and community members involved as possible. We’re testing a new model of playful and participatory arts in Gloucester - art you can take part in. There was a weekend of events and collaborations, then the GAWP Word Walk which launched in March 2024.

It's all been made possible with thanks to Heritage Lottery Fund, Voices Gloucester, Gloucester City Council, Create Gloucestershire, Blackbridge, Arts Council England and Gloucester City Homes.
